How to Choose the Right Washing Machine

on Oct 12, 2021

When looking for a washing machine, there are many factors to consider. In addition to its ability to clean, you will have to take into account other important factors including: budget, space, water and electricity consumption and so on.
The following points summarize the main factors to consider when choosing a washing machine:

1. Available space (laundry room or corner):

The first factor to consider is the space available for the washing machine. Make sure your new washer fits perfectly in the space before considering any other cleaning feature.

2. Amount of washing:

A large number of family members or the presence of children will prompt you to choose a washing machine with a larger capacity.

 3. Budget:

Smaller budget doesn't mean less performance! However, you may be required to have less luxurious features. Top loading washing machines are usually cheaper than front loading ones, but they use more electricity to operate.

4. Electricity and Water Consumption:

Front loading washers usually consume less water than top loading washers.

5. Type of spots:

Front loading washers usually provide better cleaning results than top loading.

6. Dryer

Having a busy life is sure to make you choose a washing machine with built-in dryer.

The difference between partial automatic (double tub washing machines) and full automatic (single tub washing machines):

Semi-automatic (double tub) or fully automatic (single tub) washing machines is another question most people ask. Here is a detailed explanation of the difference between them:

Twin tub Washing Machine:

This type is the cheapest at the present time and the least common as the majority of the currently available types are automatic washing machines due to their ease of use.
The water in this type of washing machine is filled manually through the washing basin, and the water is drained by pressing the appropriate button, which causes water to rush out of a tube designated for that in the washing machine.

This type of washing machine is available in the market on a small scale, and it is of two types, the first is the washing machine basin alone and it is called (single-tub washing machine), due to the fact that the washing machine contains one basin for washing clothes only, and the second type is known as (the two-tub washing machine), which is a washing machine It has a basin for washing clothes, and another for drying them.
This type is often called (semi-automatic washing machines), and it is one of the washing machines that rationalize the use of both energy and water, and its capacities can range between 4 and 14 kilograms.

Despite the limited spread of this type of washing machine, it is still preferred by a number of individuals and large families.

Automatic Washing Machines:

This type is the most prevalent in all parts of the world and is preferred by the majority of people for its ease of use and the fact that it contains several washing programs suitable for different types of clothes. Their average capacity ranges between 5 and 12 kilograms.
Unlike a double-tub washing machine, this type is automatically filled and drained through special tubes.
This type is available in the market with two main models, the first model is called top loading washing machines, and the second model is called front loading washing machines, noting that the two models are present in the market as washing machines alone, and as washers with dryers, i.e. top loading washers with dryer and front loading washers with dryer.
The main difference between top loading washing machines and front loading washing machines lies in the way the clothes are placed in the washing machine, or the so-called loading mechanism (the mechanism of loading clothes in the washing machine or putting clothes in the washing machine).
